made into a movie 5 times throughout the years.

for your enjoyment and we’ll have it waiting for you when you arrive. 

While reading your books, take in the breathtaking view from our porch

and enjoy a mug filled to the brim with hot chocolate, hot tea, or coffee.

Seven Keys to Baldpate

                                                  our namesake play 

 

 A best selling author plans to win a bet by writing a novel in less than 24 hours. Seeking solitude, he goes to a summer resort in the dead of winter but his stay at the Baldpate Inn is interrupted by a steady stream of visitors…each bearing “the only key to the Baldpate in existence”. Crooked politicians, bribe money, blackmail, true love, betrayal, double cross, a reporter’s news scoop, and a friendly wager collide in this mysterious, melodramatic farce.

Encore! Encore!  is a Northern Colorado non-profit theater troupe whose annual events include the Father/Daughter Butterfly Kisses Valentine Dance, Lost Marbles Theatrics student production and comedy a show in the fall. 

The Baldpate Inn, seven miles south of Estes Park next to Rocky Mountain National Park, is well known for over 90 years for its dining, B&B lodging and unparalleled collections.  The world famous Baldpate Key Collection is a tradition that was inspired by the Seven Keys to Baldpate romantic mystery novel on which the play is based.  Please join us for delightful dining, stunning mountain views and one of a kind entertainment. 

The plays will be performed onsite at our outdoor Baldpate Inn Mystery Theater located seven miles south of Estes Park.
